In order to use the Google Keyword tool you need a Google Adwords account. One of our members could not get past stage 1 of setting up their Google Adwords account and kept seeing the following message:



The problem relates to Google Adwords' age requirements. You must be over eighteen years old to create a Google Adwords account. This member was over eighteen but had entered their date of birth incorrectly into Google. 

 

Assuming you're over eighteen, here's what you need to do:

  1. Log in to your Google account and go to your Google account settings.
  2. Under the Personal Info section click Edit Your Google+ profile.
  3. Under the Basic Information section click Edit.
  4. Update your age to the correct year of birth.
